Medical Examiner Wilson A. Broussard reported Monday that the cause of death of Brian Laundrie She was caused by a car shot in the head. The autopsy carried out showed that Laundrie’s body had a cranial fragmentation.
Laundrie’s body was found in the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park in North Port on October 20, 2021, this was identified through dental record matching by a forensic odontologist.
Telemundo reported that, along with the remains, they found a pair of shorts, shoes, a backpack, a white ring and a type of firearm which is unknown.

The body of the young woman was found on September 19 in a park in Wyoming, while the authorities were looking for the main suspect, who was Brian.
The couple began their journey in a van in July of last year, with Brian returning to Florida alone on September 1. He was named a person of interest since he did not cooperate with authorities in their search for Petito.
