The Ministry of Education of Córdoba disseminated in the last hours the results of the Aprender 2022 Tests, where the level of language and mathematics of students at the primary and secondary levels of the province was evaluated.
The results were evaluated by the educational authorities as evidence of the impact that the pandemic had and how the return to school “offered other cultural assets for boys and girls.”
The data obtained show an improvement in language performance, which can be understood from the “school effect”, indicated the Ministry, referring to full attendance in the classroom.
Meanwhile, “historical difficulties” still persist in mathematics and the authorities associated them both with the advent of the pandemic and with the complexities of the subject, which the educational system was already experiencing.
Level by level: how did Cordoba students do in the Aprender 2022 Tests
Primary level, performance in Language. 84 percent of the students obtained a satisfactory level and half of them achieved advanced performance. The results show an improvement compared to the previous years, except for the 2018 tests. Compared to the national results of 2022, Córdoba is 6.3 points above the country’s average.

Primary level, performance in Mathematics. At the Advanced/Satisfactory performance levels, it was found in 68 percent of the students. Of them, only 23% obtained an Advanced level of performance. Performance was similar to the 2021 tests, with a few differences. Córdoba is 10.3 points above the country’s average.

Secondary level, performance in Language. The percentage of students located in the Advanced/Satisfactory performance levels was 64.9%, of which 18.8% were located in the Advanced level. This implies a decrease of 6 percentage points with respect to the results obtained in Aprender 2019. The province obtained 7.9 percentage points above the country average.

Secondary level, mathematics. The percentage of students located in the Advanced/Satisfactory performance levels was 25.9%, which implies a decrease of 13.4% compared to the results obtained in Aprender 2019. Córdoba is 8.3 percentage points above the country average.
