Since mid-February, the State Border Service has started using the “Oberig” registry to strengthen the fight against illegal travel abroad.

As reported the press service of the Ministry of Defense, during the last three weeks, border guards stopped 230 attempts to illegally cross the border with the use of forged documents – in particular, thanks to the Unified State Register of conscripts, conscripts and reservists “Oberig”.

It is noted that an exchange has been established between the database of the State Border Service and the Unified State Register of conscripts, conscripts and reservists. This allows you to expose forged documents and quickly check information about conscripts.

“The digitization of work with the data of TCCs and joint ventures is already inevitable. “Oberig” allows to automate those processes that previously depended on the human factor,” commented Kateryna Chernogorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitization, Digital Transformations and Digital Development.

The department also explained that previously, in order to confirm the validity of documents for traveling abroad, border guards had to contact directly representatives of the TCC and SP. Now information about this can be checked online through the “Oberig” register – in a few clicks.

“Border guards continue to oppose attempts to illegally cross the border both in the “green” area and at checkpoints, where violators try to use forged documents that would give the right to cross the border during martial law. Some of them are military registration documents , as it were, issued in territorial collection centers. That is why the establishment of effective information exchange between the “Oberig” registry and the database of the State Border Service allows inspectors to more effectively and quickly check such documents,” said Andriy Demchenko, assistant to the head of the State Border Service – press secretary.

Register of conscripts – the main news

Since October 2023, the Unified Register of Conscripts has been operational in Ukraine. It was assumed that it would cover almost all conscripted citizens and significantly simplify the mobilization process.

Its launch was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov. According to him, the electronic database of conscripts is filled by more than 90%, and the system itself is fully protected.

The register of conscripts will contain personal and official information necessary for military registration, obtaining the status of UBD or white ticket. With the help of these data, it is possible to put a man on military registration even without his personal appearance at the TCC.
