The members of a gang of former soldiers, including the head of security at the Cité Mixta, who thought they were police officers, scoured prostitutes.
They rape them, strip them of their property before ransacking their apartments. The gang was dismantled by the Keur Massar Research Brigade.

In total, more than twenty prostitutes had filed complaints divided between the Central Police Station of Dakar, the Gendarmerie of Hann-Mariste.
How did the Pandoras neutralize the band of criminals? In Keur Massar, after intense investigations, elements of the Research Brigade succeeded in locating the civilian element of the gang who was neutralized and forced to collaborate to bring down his accomplices, reports L’OBS.

Under the dictation of the gendarmes, he invited his accomplices to a new operation before indicating a meeting point to them on the night of Thursday 26 to Friday 27 January 2023. Shortly before 11 p.m., the whole gang showed up instead of meeting, not suspecting that the gendarmes, lurking in the dark, are ready to jump on them.
All were arrested, thrown into the gendarmes’ vehicle and taken to the Keur Massar Research Brigade.

According to sources from L’Observateur, the search of their respective homes enabled the gendarmes to recover some of the telephones stolen from the prostitutes.
