A while ago, WhatsApp implemented a function that many users did not like. This is the message reading confirmation or double blue check mark, which appears once the user has read a conversation.
The tool is not the favorite since it does not allow you to go unnoticed in conversations, however, WhatsApp also has an invisible mode, which will allow you to deactivate the message reading function.

To activate invisible mode on iPhone you will have to follow these steps.

- Open the WhatsApp app on your iPhone.
- Click on Settings
- Then choose Privacy.
- Look for the Read Receipts option. Deactivate the function.
With this, only two gray checkmarks will appear in your conversations confirming that your message has been sent and reached the recipient.

If your device has an Android operating system, you have to follow these steps.
- Enter the WhatsApp app.
- Click on the three dots at the top right of the screen.
- Choose Settings.
- In the Privacy option you will find the Read confirmations option. Deactivate the function.
You should know that once you disable the setting on any operating system, you will also not be able to see the message reading notification from your device. Also, the configuration does not apply to group messages.
