“From January 1, 2023, issuing a permit to change the design of a car will cost 1,000 rubles. Such a certificate will be required when completing and re-equipping freight vehicles, installing gas-balloon equipment, replacing headlights with a different light source, creating a specialized car,” Sharkov told the Prime economic information agency.
He also added that the fee for issuing a safety certificate for a vehicle with a modified design will increase. Now motorists pay 800 rubles, and will pay up to 1500 rubles. Such a certificate is necessary if the car is manufactured independently, the factory equipment of a domestic car has been changed, or it is planned to import a foreign car across the border. “For the admission of transport to the transportation of dangerous goods, you will have to pay 1,500 rubles,” said Sharkov. Such documents need to be obtained, as a rule, by participants in commercial transactions that transport poisonous, explosive or radioactive goods. Replacing damaged or lost documents will also cost one and a half thousand rubles, and renewing the certificate – another thousand rubles.
