O WhatsApp recently announced the arrival of Channels. The idea is basically to let you connect with content creators, businesses, and more through post broadcasts — without other people being able to respond. It’s something already well known by those who use Telegram channels, for example.
Now, a greater number of users can create their own channels through the most used messenger in Brazil. And that’s exactly what we’ll show you how to do in the paragraphs later!
How to create a channel on WhatsApp on iPhone
Open WhatsApp, tap the “Updates” tab, the “+” (in the upper right part) and “Create channel”. Select “Continue” and follow the steps described on the screen, which involve adding a name for the channel, its description and its image.
Once you are satisfied, tap the “Create channel” button.
How to create a channel on WhatsApp Desktop/Web
Open WhatsApp Desktop/Web on your computer and link your phone to it by scanning the QR code. Then, click on the “Channels” icon (which is next to starting a new conversation), then on the “+” button and “Create channel”. Go to “Continue” and follow the remaining steps to add a name, description and photo. Then click on “Create channel”.
Later, you can access the channel’s data screen to obtain its link and share it with other users.
It is worth making it clear that the WhatsApp channels option is not yet widely available to all users. Availability, therefore, will depend on the release schedule of the Meta messenger. In the coming months, however, she must paint for everyone. ????
