Os GIFs are a fun way to communicate on the internet. More recently, Meta (formerly Facebook) released the possibility of making comments on publications on Instagram using just that kind of image format.
Despite this, not everyone is a fan of this style of commentary. Therefore, the network allows you to easily prevent this from happening in your publications. This way, only text comments will be allowed on your traditional posts and Reels.
Check out how to do it!
Open the app, tap your profile picture (in the bottom right corner), go to the button represented by three little lines (in the top right corner) and “Settings and privacy”.
Then go to “Feedback” (in the “How others can interact with you” section) and uncheck “Allow comments with GIFs”.
