Now, in my opinion, is the best time to buy currency while it can be bought. And transfer it, or at least rubles, to other countries – to Turkey or the same Kazakhstan. In winter, European sanctions on Russian oil will come into force, and the ruble will face hard times.
In Turkey, the situation with the economy is also interesting. The deficit in goods (about $50 billion) until 2020 was offset by a surplus in services. Due to covid restrictions, a crisis has occurred in the service industry. This led to a huge trade deficit, and the lira almost halved.
Now the situation has leveled off, the local currency is strengthening. Quarantine restrictions have been lifted. Tourists are returning to the country, and now many Russians live here, many of whom have money and are quite solvent.
