O Threads arrived to compete mainly with X (former Twitter), led by Elon Musk — especially following many controversies and changes.
But if you created an account and no longer use it, know that you can hide your profile badge on Threads — which, by default, is visible on your Instagram profile.

Open Instagram on your iPhone and tap your profile tab (in the bottom right corner). Then, select “Edit profile” and uncheck the button next to “Show Threads badge”.
From then on, anyone who visits your profile will no longer be able to access your Threads account from Instagram.
