How to Play Ubisoft’s Free Shooter Beta

XDefiant, the new free shooter from Ubisoft, is now officially in its closed beta period, that is, players around the world, on different platforms, can check out the multiplayer title matches. Being a first-person shooter, the title developed by Ubisoft San Francisco delivers confrontations between factions inspired by the biggest franchises of the French giant.

Available until April 23rd, the closed beta of XDefiant features crossplay, allowing PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series players to play together.

If you’re interested in checking out Ubisoft’s new release firsthand, the process for taking the chance is pretty simple. Just access the official website, through this link, and register. With that, you’ll just have to hope and wait for an invite to the closed beta to arrive at your email address.

The free shooter’s closed beta lets players get a good idea of ​​what they’ll find in the final version, with all 14 maps being available. Players still have 24 weapons to use in matches, in addition to five explosive devices and 44 accessories.

In the closed beta, it is possible to face teams representing four factions inspired by major franchises of the French giant. Check out what they are below.

  • The Cleaners (The Division)
  • Freedom (Far Cry 6)
  • Echelon (Splinter Cell)
  • Phantoms (Ghost Recon Phantoms)

Each faction has three different characters, but in the beta only one of each group is available from the start. More characters can be unlocked if different quests are completed.
