As we recently reported, Meta (formerly Facebook) released the Channels no WhatsApp. With this, it is possible to enter a type of transmission channel (which we have had for some time on Telegram) to check out content posted by brands or content creators.
One of the things that makes this function different from Telegram channels is that, in the case of WhatsApp, whenever you join a new one, it is muted by default. This way, you are not bothered by new publication notifications.
Despite this, you can easily change this setting. Check it out!
Open WhatsApp on your iPhone, tap the “Updates” tab and select the channel. Then, in the top right corner, go to the icon represented by a little bell to activate notifications. Once this is done, whenever a new publication is made on the channel you are participating in, a notification will be sent.
This, in fact, can also be done by touching the three dots (next to the bell), going to “Channel data” and unchecking the “Mute” option.
It is worth noting that WhatsApp Channels are being made available gradually, so not everyone may already be seeing this function.
