How to remove photosensitive videos on TikTok

A little while ago, we came to show you here at MacMagazine how you can reduce blinking lights on iPhone/iPad, Mac and Apple TV. This feature allows video content viewed through them that has these blinking or flashing lights to be obscured — especially important for people with epilepsy.

It turns out that this can also be done within the application TikTok, aimed precisely at sharing short videos. In it, it is possible to filter videos that contain TikTok effects which may cause some kind of visual sensitivity.

If you view a video of this type, the warning “This video contains flashes of light that may cause seizures in people with visual sensitivities” appears and you skip it (by tapping “Skip all”), the next ones of the type will be removed. You can also choose to “Watch video”.

Later, it is still possible to manage this feature directly in the network settings. To do this, tap on the “Profile” tab, then on the button with three little lines (in the upper right corner) and go to “Settings and privacy”.

Then select “Display” and enable or disable the option “Remove photosensitive videos”.
