How to Save on Clothes for Kids

Where do baby clothes come from? It is given for the holidays by grandparents, we buy it at sales and in packs “3 for the price of 2,” acquaintances give what their children do not wear. But how many clothes do kids really need?

For all the amount of cute baby clothes that are now filling the shelves, they remain quite expensive. Working parents are not very comfortable visiting shopping malls on weekends while shopping with children is even more laborious because the child quickly gets tired. In this case, an excellent way out is The Trendy Toddlers online children’s clothing store, where you can view photos of the baby girl and baby boy clothes with your children in advance, and most importantly, buy them cheaper.

Not to spend a lot of money on clothes for kids from which they still grow in a year or two, a good solution is to limit their quantity. Do not buy multiple items of clothing, for example, several T-shirts in different colors. It is better to acquire one piece of one wardrobe item. So, your child’s wardrobe will be varied but not excessive.

Recommended Basic List

We have compiled an approximate list of what a child really needs:

  • 2 pairs of trousers or skirts in different colors;
  • 4 blouses or shirts;
  • 1 girl’s party dress (or boy’s costume);
  • 2 suits;
  • 5 sets of clothes for the game, things that are well combined with each other and are interchangeable; these should be clothes that you do not mind tearing or staining;
  • 2-3 pajamas;
  • bathing suit;
  • seasonal outerwear and footwear;
  • sweater;
  • underwear, socks, pantyhose;
  • footwear: sneakers, shoes, summer sandals;
  • for winter: hat, scarf, gloves.

This list may seem too short to you. But if you decide to stick to it and set up an experiment, you will soon understand what is missing in your child’s wardrobe.

Of course, it’s good if every day of the week the child will wear new clothes. However, the same set can be repeated next week. It is also unnecessary to wash children’s clothes after each wear. Make sure that they are not dirty or smell, ventilate and hang them safely in the closet.

A child really does not need as many clothes as an adult: a girl may well wear the same elegant dress for both New Year’s and birthday, and a boy can wear the same jeans for several days in a row. But remember to keep your kids clean at all times. If a child does not get used to being neat from childhood, it will be hard for him to develop this habit during adolescence.

Reducing the amount of children’s clothing will not only help save the family budget and wardrobe space but will also teach children to take care of things. You can spoil them sometimes by buying new clothes, but don’t make them accustomed to shopaholism from infancy.
