After many tests, the WhatsApp finally released the option to send photos in high resolution (HD). Thus, it is no longer necessary to work around or resort to other alternative applications or messengers to send a higher resolution photo (not necessarily the original file, but with much lower compression).
Before we show you how to do this, it’s good to point out that, like all new features in the Meta application, it is being released gradually. That is, it may take a little while for it to appear for you. ????

Open WhatsApp on your iPhone, select the desired conversation and tap the “+” button (in the lower left corner) to choose between “Camera” or “Photos and Videos”. Once the image is captured or chosen from your photo library, you will notice that an “HD” button appears at the top of the screen.
Tap on it and choose between “Standard Quality” or “High Definition Quality”. Just below these options, WhatsApp informs the final resolution of the file that will be sent.
Then select “OK” and send the image normally. An “HD” icon in the bottom left corner of the image thumbnail will help identify that a high resolution image has been uploaded.
It is worth noting that, even if you have already received the feature out there, if you want to send an image that is not originally in good resolution, the “HD” icon will not even appear in the app interface.
