When bank cards act up: certain Dijon brands affected by a payment bug last Saturday.
During the day on Saturday, several brands in France, including in Dijon, experienced bank card payment problemsnotably at Carrefour, McDonald’s, SNCF, Monoprix and Ikea.
Customers had to abandon their basket or trolley because they were unable to pay. Rumors of a cyber attack circulated on social networks, but the Bank Card Economic Interest Group indicated thatthis was an incident concerning certain brands which rely on Worldlinea provider of electronic payment solutions.
The problem was identified and resolved within the day.
