How to use Precise Search on Apple Watch to find your iPhone

2023-10-26 11:00:00

Since the early days of the Apple Watch, Apple has allowed you to use your smart watch to search for an iPhone nearby.

This year, this feature has become better: with the help of the second generation ultra-wideband chip, you can search your smartphone in an even better way, through Precise Search (Precision Finding).

See how to do it! ????

Requirements

To search for an iPhone with Precise Search, you will need a Apple Watch Series 9 or Ultra 2. Furthermore, it must necessarily be paired with an iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max.

How to use Precise Search to find your iPhone

On your Apple Watch, open Control Center. This can be done by pressing the side button on the watch. Then click on the iPhone icon.

With this, the smartphone will play a sound and, if the Apple Watch is within range, the screen will show a general direction and the distance that must be covered to reach the iPhone.

Move around to see that distance decreasing as your steps are shown on the watch screen. When you’re near your phone, the Apple Watch screen will turn green, it will shake harder, and the iPhone will beep twice to confirm.

Pretty cool, right?! ⌚️
