Due to the strongly fluctuating but mostly high energy prices (Ukraine, Middle East war, etc.), the call for a government aid package or for subsidies for energy-intensive companies and for low-income households is becoming louder once more. Other reasons for this are that there will be further price increases due to the switch to renewable energy sources (“green” energy transition) and a lack of line capacity.
