Howden Iberia hires Fran Murcia as Global Wellbeing Director

Howden Iberia, one of the four major insurance brokers in Spain, has hired Fran Murcia, a former professional basketball player and expert in corporate wellbeing, for the position of Global Well-being Director. Together with the Howden team, he will develop bespoke projects to improve the health of clients’ employees.

Fran Murcia, who developed a 19-year career in the sports elite in clubs such as CAI Zaragoza, Joventut de Badalona or Baloncesto Fuenlabrada and wore the shirt of the Spanish national team more than 35 times, he retired at the age of 33 and since then he has dedicated his life to corporate wellbeing. An activity with which, as he himself explains, “improves the health of employees through training, implementation of wellness strategies and measurement of success with aggregated data”. Teambuilding, corporate coaching, wellbeing and training conferences are just some of the actions that he works with clients.

Before coming to Howden, he held the position of Wellbeing Manager and Head of CSR at WTW for 3 years and was previously a founding partner of WAY ​​TO GO Corporate Wellbeing. Postgraduate at IE and Universidad San Pablo CEU, he is also a Master in Executive Coaching and Leadership.
