To protect adolescents against a future risk of cancer, vaccination against papillomavirus (HPV) is offered to all 5th graders enrolled in a public or private college under contract in Gironde.
HPVs cause more than 6,000 cancers each year.

College vaccination campaign: how does it work?
Beginning of September: you receive a message from the college inviting you to complete the parental authorization forms. You have until September 28 to give your consent.
The vaccination will be carried out directly at the college by a team of health professionals from a vaccination centre.
2 doses (autumn 2023 and spring 2024) = 1 complete vaccination schedule
