HSBC is about to close 114 more branches in Britain

London ∙ 114 HSBC from Britain’s high streets. Branches also disappear. The decision to close them from April is due to the decrease in the number of customers coming to the branches. Employees of these branches will be redeployed. But as a result of this decision, about 100 pork jobs will be lost. The bank has closed thousands of branches across the UK in similar fashion in previous years.

The union also blamed the action of making banking inaccessible to such people.

Apart from HSBC, major banks like Nat West, Barclays and Lloyds have closed hundreds of branches across the country. Nat West has already closed 1200 branches, Lloyds Bank 850 branches and Barclays 960 branches.

As the younger generation turns to online banking, the presence of banks in high streets will end with only ATM counters in the future.
