Huawei launches the new FreeBuds i5 in China

We have news from Huaweisince they have presented in their native China the new FreeBuds i5 which are obviously the continuation of the FreeBuds 4i that were introduced last year.

These new wireless headphones from Huawei now offer three levels of noise cancellation, and when we select the maximum level, the headphones reduce noise by 42 dB, a marked improvement over the 22 dB offered by the FreeBuds i4.

They also have noise cancellation during calls, since thanks to an artificial intelligence system with two built-in microphones, they can extract and increase the voice in order to have clearer calls.

The FreeBuds i5 feature 10mm dynamic drivers and automatically adjust their output to best match the shape of your ears to deliver the best sound quality, thanks to LDAC codec support and Hi-Res Audio certification. Wireless.

The FreeBuds 5i use Bluetooth 5.2 with multipoint connectivity, and with the companion app you can quickly switch their connection between your phone, tablet, TV and whatever else you’re using them with. There is a game mode, which reduces latency to 94ms.

We also have changes to its charging case, as it is now 18% lighter, weighing 33.9 grams. Still, overall battery life has improved: the headphones + case can now last up to 28 hours (compared to 22 hours on the previous model) with noise cancellation off, and up to 18.5 hours with noise cancellation. activated.

Now, if we only talk about the headphones, we can comment that they have a duration of 7.5 hours of autonomy, and up to 6 hours with the noise cancellation activated. And when they run out, you can fully charge them in a single hour, although if you’re in a hurry, you can charge them for 15 minutes and you’ll get 4 hours of battery life.

The new Huawei FreeBuds i5 are priced in China at CNY 600, which is equivalent to approximately US$90. We do not have confirmation if they will arrive in Chile, but considering that the FreeBuds 4i did arrive, it is highly likely that we will see them on these sides of the planet.
