The latest research results from Bloomberg analysts show that the sales of Apple’s latest iPhone 15 series mobile phones in the Chinese market are not ideal. Data shows that in the first 17 days after its launch, the iPhone 15 series sales fell by approximately 4.5% compared to the iPhone 14 series in the same period last year. That means millions of fewer devices sold.

Analysts pointed out that the lukewarm reception of Apple’s new iPhone 15 in the Chinese market reflects continued weak consumer demand and the rise of competitors such as Huawei.
A group of analysts at Jefferies, including Edison Lee, said Huawei’s overall sales have surpassed Apple’s due to the unexpected debut of the Mate 60 Pro. As a result, iPhone 15 sales dropped by double digits compared to the previous generation.
They further predicted that Huawei has become the best-selling smartphone manufacturer in Greater China and expect this trend to continue until 2024.
However, outside of China, Apple performed strongly. Especially the US domestic market, its sales trend is strong.
It is reported that Apple will announce its quarterly financial report for September on November 2, which will include the sales of iPhone 15 in the first week of its launch. By then we will have a clearer understanding of the specific market performance of the iPhone 15 series in Greater China.
