Huawei Pura X View Officially Announced with a Unique Wide Display and 7000 mAh Battery

The Huawei Pura X View is a non-foldable smartphone featuring a 16:9,5 aspect ratio, a 2232 × 1320 resolution panel, and a massive 7000 mAh battery packed into a 6.68-millimeter-thin chassis, according to official manufacturer disclosures.

Engineering a Non-Foldable Wide Display

Huawei is breaking that mold with the hardware architecture of the Pura X View. By deploying a 16:9,5 panel, the device occupies a distinct footprint that recalls the visual language of the previously released Pura X, yet avoids any mechanical hinge complications.

The screen specifications are aggressive. The panel hits a peak brightness of 6500 nits, pushing high-dynamic-range content rendering to outdoor extremes. Thin bezels measuring just 1.05 millimeters allow for a 96.1 percent screen-to-body ratio. It’s a visually expansive layout that feels noticeably wider in the hand than standard contemporary flagships.

The 7,000 mAh Density Paradox

Fitting a 7000 mAh battery into a chassis that measures only 6.68 millimeters in thickness and tips the scales at 201 grams requires serious advancements in battery cell chemistry and internal component layering. Despite the paper-thin profile, the device manages to house this high-capacity power source alongside a triple-camera array.

That camera setup is housed on the rear within a horizontal, capsule-shaped module. While official module details remain under wraps by the manufacturer, industry leak data points toward a triple 50-megapixel configuration spanning primary, ultrawide, and telephoto focal lengths. Unconfirmed hardware rumors also suggest a 6.39-inch display footprint powered by a Kirin 9030s system-on-chip, though these metrics await final validation from the company.

Configuration Tiers and Launch Timeline

Under the hood, the device is slated to ship with 12 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of onboard storage. Buyers will be able to select from four distinct colorways.

Pre-orders are currently live in China. The complete spec sheet, exact pricing tiers, and global availability details will be officially revealed on August 28.
