Huawei will unveil its new foldable mobile phone and the model’s successor Huawei Mate XSHuawei Mate Xs 2 on Thursday, April 28 at an event to be held at the Huawei Mate Xs 2 in China.
Huawei Mate XS 2 joins the array of foldable devices made by the Chinese company, which began with the launch of the Huawei Mate X in June 2019, unveiled at that year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
In February 2021, it unveiled the Mate X2, which is also owned by . to the Mate family and with a book-like format that opens horizontally, while the P50 Pocket was launched at the end of January.
In this case, the last folding launched by Huawei adopts a different form factor than the Mate series, with a clamshell hinge that opens vertically, like Samsung’s Galaxy Z flip3.
Separately, Gizmochina announced in early April that the brand was working on a new foldable phone and it would likely go on sale under that name. Huawei Mate X3 later this month.
However, as the Asian manufacturer announced on its Weibo profile, the Huawei Mate Xs 2 will be unveiled in China on April 28 at 7 p.m. (at 1 p.m. Spanish peninsular time).
The company did not disclose further details on this new model and, according to the photo published by the company on this social network, we cannot see the details of the device, such as the camera or the screen.
