According to insiders, the Chinese technology group Huawei has approached Mercedes and Audi for a stake in its car division. This involves a small share of the company, which bundles the car software and parts business, said three people familiar with the process. The aim is to also enter into partnerships with foreign companies, it said. Huawei hopes to arm itself against geopolitical upheavals.
