Two weeks after pre-orders opened, the Huawei MateBook 16s and D16 are finally hitting the market. Laptops that are not lacking in assets and that even benefit from an introductory offer.
Large screens (touch for one of the two), 12th gen Intel Core processors, Intel Evo certification, smart camera: no doubt, Huawei has not skimped for its new generation of MateBook. Especially since the manufacturer has even put in place many bonuses for the launch of its computers.

The Huawei MateBook 16s: beautiful and powerful
At the center of any good computer is the screen. That of the Huawei MateBook 16s is simply excellent. The other strength of the Huawei MateBook 16s lies in its technical sheet. This allows him not only to collect greedy tasks, such as image processing, but also to take advantage of the Intel Evo certification. This standard emphasizes performance and responsiveness by imposing specifications on computers. The Huawei MateBook 16s therefore starts in a few seconds and benefits from a Thunderbolt 4 port, a minimum autonomy of 9 hours, Windows 11 out of the box and a 12th generation Intel processor.

Finally, the Huawei MateBook 16s, like the Huawei MateBook D16, is a real ally for videoconferencing. Its camera can follow you as you move to keep you in the frame at all times. Finally, the microphone also relies on artificial intelligence for active noise reduction, to avoid extraneous noise while you speak.

The Huawei MateBook D16: value for money above all else
Less expensive than the Huawei MateBook 16s, the Huawei MateBook D16 can boast of being more suitable for mobile users thanks to its weight of 1.7 kg. However, there is a screen diagonal of 16.1 inches, for an equivalent occupation ratio and color management similar to the MateBook 16s. This screen also offers very good management of blue light by being TÜV Rheinland certified. It is therefore possible to chain the hours of work without tiring the eyes.
The Huawei MateBook D16 is one of the few laptops on the market to integrate a numeric keypad. The manufacturer has also made typing pleasant thanks to 1.5 mm thick keys, with a finish soft landing which provides a softer rebound.
As for the technical sheet, the manufacturer does not make any concessions since we find a 12th gen Intel Core i5, a 512 GB SSD, an Intel Iris Xe graphics chip and 8 GB of RAM. A configuration which, as with the Huawei MateBook 16s, is capable of running demanding office software such as Adobe Photoshop. The connection is not left out. The Huawei MateBook D16 incorporates two USB Type-C ports, two USB-A sockets, an HDMI socket and a jack socket. Huawei’s laptop also includes the Huawei Metaline Antenna system.

For its launch, the Huawei MateBook D16 also benefits from a reduced price by being sold 899 euros via the immediate discount of 100 euros. The Intel Core i7 version and 16 GB of RAM falls to 1 199 euros. It benefits from the same gift as the Huawei MateBook 16s, namely 12 months of free Huawei Care, with a bonus however since a Bluetooth mouse BT Mouse 2 offered.
