The Pole dominated the American in straight sets to play his third career Masters 1000 final.
Hubert Hurkacz (17th in the world) qualified for the final of the Masters 1000 in Shanghai by dominating the American Sebastian Korda (26th) 6-3, 6-4 in the semi-final on Saturday.
The Pole will play his third Masters 1000 final on Sunday after Miami in 2021 (victory against Sinner) and Canada in 2022 (defeat against Carreno Busta). He will try to win the seventh title of his career.
He will face the winner of the second semi-final between Andrey Rublev (7th in the world) and Grigor Dimitrov (19th).
Hurkacz, very serious with more than 80% of first serves, won the first set 6-3. Korda did not obtain any break points in this round and increased the number of unforced errors.
