However, on the recommendation of the DNER, the activity was suspended due to the large number of people expected.

The secretary of the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources, Anaís Rodríguez Vega, confirmed that, despite the fact that they were aware of the event and that it was coordinated with the agency and the Security Guard, it had to be canceled due to the number of people who expressed his intention to go to the event in the key.
“Rauw Alejandro’s team has maintained communication with the DNER and the Security Guard Corps to find out about the laws and regulations applicable to this type of initiative, showing interest in carrying them out in full compliance. However, it is clear that the fame of the artist is going to require more planning and organization for this initiative, since, as we have seen on social networks, the attendance at Icacos tomorrow would have been much larger than anyone would have anticipated”, he highlighted. the official in written statements.
“For this reason, I contacted his team to ask them to postpone the initiative until the corresponding evaluations are made and a plan is established that guarantees order, in harmony with the environment and natural resources,” added Rodríguez Vega, who thanked to the artist for accepting his recommendation to put “our environment and Puerto Rico first.”
