A serious traffic accident occurred this Wednesday morning in Huila, on the road that leads from the municipality of Tesalia to La Plata, when a truck carrying D1 products, license plates EQO-094, collided with a public service bus from the Comotor company, from THV-195 plates.

The Thessaly authorities confirmed that there are 9 deaths, including a minor under 17 years of age who was traveling on the bus and the bus driver. The identities of the 8 passengers who died in the accident have not yet been released, but it is feared that the number of fatalities will increase with the passing of the hours.
“We have at least 5 injured,” said the authorities, who were taken to the La Plata hospital.
The vehicles collided head-on in the known sector of the El Colegio bridge in the village of La Angostura, apparently, according to the first hypotheses, one of the drivers would have invaded the opposite lane.
The Comotor company spoke out and regretted the death of the driver Yilber Liévano Sánchez and the other passengers who lost their lives. He also stressed that the fact is a matter of investigation.
Colonel Gustavo Adolfo Camargo, commander of the Huila police, asked drivers to be careful on the road, even more so, taking into account the rains that have occurred in recent days.
