Human feces are “gold” in Rome… an early warning of a future epidemic

Modern cities produce continuous waves of sewage, but in the muddy, smelly sewage, vital cellular clues are linked to the COVID-19 virus and its spread in the population. Researchers in Italy will soon launch a nationwide wastewater monitoring system that promises to provide early warning regarding new mutants of the virus and, in the future, potential epidemics.
