Hungary, the last NATO member country that has not ratified Sweden’s entry into the alliance, is preparing to go ahead with the vote in its parliament on Monday, according to a request made today by the ruling party.

“I ask the president of the parliament to include in the agenda of the meeting of February 26 the final vote on the accession protocol of Sweden in the Atlantic alliance treaty, which we intend to support,” Fidesz parliamentary group chairman Mate Kocsis said in a Facebook post.
In Stockholm, according to iefimerida, Swedish Defense Minister Pal Jonsson said he welcomed the news.
“Of course we welcome this,” he told a press conference, referring to the announcement by the Hungarian Fidesz parliamentary group.
