BENGALURU – Tropical Storm Debbie has intensified into a hurricane and is moving towards the northeast coast of the Gulf of Mexico. Debbie brings significant flooding risk to the southeastern United States, as the National Hurricane Center (NHC) announced Sunday. The storm was located about 100 miles (160 kilometers) west-northwest of Tampa, with winds expected to reach 75 mph (120 kilometers per hour). Debbie is expected to make landfall in Florida on Monday morning (local time).
