PT Hutama Karya (Persero) (Hutama Karya) has once more implemented a 20% discount on 3 sections of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) to support the return flow for Eid 2024. The three toll sections are the Terbanggi Besar – Pematang Panggang – Kayu Agung (Terpeka) Toll Road ( 189 km), Indralaya – Prabumulih (Indraprabu) toll road (64.5 km) and Pekanbaru – Dumai toll road (131 km).

Executive Vice President (EVP) Hutama Karya Corporate Secretary Adjib Al Hakim said that the application of the return rate discount was still in accordance with the information submitted by the company at the start of the 2024 homecoming flow period.

“During the Eid backflow period, the official fare discount applies from April 17 2024 at 05.00 WIB to April 19 2024 at 05.00 WIB, with the same rate as the homecoming flow,” he said as quoted in a press release, Monday (15/4).

He added that the tariff reduction still applies to all categories of vehicles passing through payment transactions with the farthest distance, namely only for vehicles entering from the Kayu Agung/Kayu Agung Utama Toll Gate (GT) managed by Hutama Karya and exiting at Bakauheni Selatan, managed by PT Bakauheni Terbanggi Besar.

This also applies the other way around, namely, vehicles entering from GT Prabumulih and leaving GT Palembang or vice versa; and vehicles entering from GT Dumai and leaving at GT Pekanbaru or vice versa.

The details of the accumulated fares for the three sections are: From GT Kayu Agung/Kayu Agung Utama to GT Bakauheni Selatan or vice versa, namely, Class I vehicles from IDR 360,000 to IDR 288,500; Class II and III vehicles from IDR 540,000 to IDR 432,500; Class IV and V vehicles from IDR 720,000 to IDR 577,000.

Then from GT Prabumulih to GT Indralaya or vice versa, namely, Class I vehicles from IDR 112,000 to IDR 95,500; Class II and III vehicles from IDR 168,000 to IDR 142,500; Class IV and V vehicles from IDR 224,000 to IDR 190,000.

Then from GT Dumai to GT Pekanbaru or vice versa, namely Class I vehicles from IDR 171,500 to IDR 137,000; Class II and III vehicles from IDR 257,000 to IDR 205,500; Class IV and V vehicles from IDR 343,000 to IDR 274,500.

During the discount period during yesterday’s homecoming flow, Hutama Karya recorded vehicle traffic of 247,787 vehicles. Dus Adjib said that the company predicts an increase of up to 40% during this reverse flow discount.

Furthermore, he said, the tariff discount does not apply if toll road users transact with an Electronic Money (UE) card balance that is low or the origin and class of vehicle cannot be read.

“We urge travelers to study the JTTS tariff and ensure that the Electronic Money Card is in good condition, has sufficient balance before traveling, and always agrees that safety is number one,” concluded Adjib. (Mir/Z-7)
