HV71 icon Boo Ahl dead – aged 54

Boo Ahl was a true HV product who went all the way from HV71’s hockey school to becoming a decisive factor when HV71 won its first SM gold in 1995. He also made the expression “over-stiff” nationally known after his great game.

After his career as a player, Ahl continued, among other things, on the material side

– Bosse was loved by the HV fans and a fantastically appreciated and well-liked employee. We will remember him fondly and for the caring person he was. Our thoughts go out to the family today, says Richard Nylin, club director in HV71 on the club’s website.

Games abroad

Ahl also managed to play abroad in Nuremberg, Germany, and was also involved in bringing Timrå up to the Elitserien before ending his career as a player in the parent club HV71.

Boo Ahl was 54 years old.
