After the success of previous seasons, Koh-Lanta has been back for a few weeks on TF1. A little over a month after the launch of the show, the list of eliminated is growing. Candidates who have left the program are already very present on social networks. And lately it’s Helena which is making a lot of noise on Instagram.
While she was eliminated on Tuesday February 28, Helena is already ultra-connected and shows herself without filter on social networks. She intends to restore the truth and answer questions that have been left unanswered for too long. In a video posted on Instagram last week, the young woman decided to lift the veil on the secrets of the show.
A candidate answers the most intimate questions
People left to fend for themselves in nature, without food or even shelter to sleep. The adventure of Koh-Lanta is so rough, that one can ask questions. What do women do when they have their period? Are there bathrooms ? How do the candidates do to remove their hair?… So many questions that tormented Internet users. Helena from Koh-Lanta 2023 then took his phone to answer.
“Where do you defecate?” cash asked a user. “There is no toilets on the camp. It’s pee poop nature, either the sea or the beach”, Helena shared on Instagram, noting that the contestants had determined a place in the jungle where they could all go to the bathroom “so that it doesn’t get scattered all over the place. Small precision: since we eat nothing or very little, do not think that we go to the toilet every day, it is very very spaced out. I don’t think we even count the number of days when we do nothing at all”.
When women have their period…
Second question that Helena decided to answer: how do women when they have their period? “It’s a survival show, but they still give us sanitary pads. We don’t have toilet paper, we don’t have any of that but we have sanitary protection otherwise it would go into a bloodbath in Koh-Lanta and that’s not the goal ”, she assured.

Are candidates entitled to a razor?
Another question viewers may have when watching the survival show: the women don’t seem to display no hair. Can they wax? Are they entitled to the razor? Helena claimed that no one waxes on the island. Razors or other methods of hair removal are prohibited throughout the season. “It’s not hair-land. The camera does not target our legs, our armpits. It is not the goal that we see our hair everywhere. If someone says yeah I won, the camera is not going to go below our armpits”.
