‘I also heard that Amir will come back, will consider if he comes’: Pakistan Cricket Chief Selector

Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board opened its doors to Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Amir. The player, who announced his retirement earlier due to differences with the Pakistan Cricket Board, is active in the franchise leagues. Aamir’s return is also being discussed in the background of the change in the Pakistan Cricket Board. Pakistan Cricket Team Chief Selector Haroon Rashid himself said that Aamir can be considered.

Haroon Rashid said that the players should withdraw their controversial statements and concentrate on cricket. “I don’t know what is the current situation with Amir, I also heard that he has withdrawn his retirement decision and is coming back. It is good that he is playing. If the current form continues, he will be treated like others – Haroon Rashid clarified.

Amir announced his retirement from Pakistan cricket in 2020 in protest against the behavior and approach of the Pakistan Cricket Board. Aamir was 28 years old then. Then he became active in various franchise leagues. Recently there have been changes in the Pakistan Cricket Board. He has played 36 Tests, 61 ODIs and 50 T20Is for Pakistan. Aamir has taken 259 international wickets across all three formats.

The player is currently playing in the Bangladesh Premier League. Aamir’s swing and pace in the first overs is still a delight for cricket lovers. Meanwhile, Pakistan cricket is a place where anything can happen. Recently former Pakistan player Wahab Riaz has been appointed as the interim sports minister of Punjab province. While the player is playing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), he is assigned ministerial work.
