As it became known yesterday, Friday (18.10.24), 12 members of the Central Committee of SYRIZA who support Stefanos Kasselakis, refer Kostas Zachariadis, Olga Gerovassilis and Apostolos Gletsos to the Ethics Committee, citing their “extreme positions”.
Speaking on Saturday morning to SKAI, Mr. Zachariadis said: “I have not received any notification, I learned about it from the publications.
I consider it reasonable and expected, for months there has been a great battle for the political personality of SYRIZA with extreme manifestations”.
And he continued: “I didn’t expect anything else from Mr. Kasselakis who was talking about black funds, hoods and bags.”
According to him, this is not a major issue in front of everything else that is happening in the party of Koumoundourou, but a “distraction policy aimed at adding fuel to the fire and dividing”.
Regarding whether SYRIZA will remain a party of the official opposition, Mr. Zachariadis said that everyone has their responsibility in politics. “I don’t think 17 will leave SYRIZA the next day,” he said.
