The wedding scene of a Ukrainian nurse’s ward who lost both legs and fingers in a landmine explosion has been released, giving a calming impression.

According to foreign media on the 2nd (local time), Ukrainian nurse Oksana and her husband Viktor held a small wedding ceremony for the couple at a hospital surgical ward in the western city of Lviv on the same day. In a video shared on Twitter by the Ukrainian parliament, Oksana in her white wedding dress was held in her arms by Victor.

Victor danced slowly while lifting Oksana’s body, which had lost her leg, while Oksana smiled and then burst into tears. The people on the ward who watched this also congratulated them with applause and cheers.

On March 27, Oksana and Viktor stepped on a landmine while returning home from the Russian-occupied Rishchansk region of Luhansk. Thanks to Oksana’s warning just before her explosion, Victor was not hurt, but Oksana was seriously injured and underwent four major surgeries.

Oksana, who was being treated at the Dnipro hospital in the south-central city, arrived in Lviv on the 28th of last month to have a prosthetic leg installed. Oksana and Victor got married here with the help of hospital volunteers.

The two started living together six years ago, and it is said that they have two children.
