Al-Marsad newspaper: The former national team player, Hussein Abdul-Ghani, revealed that Prince Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Faisal had punished him following he made a mistake. He pointed out that the position of the late prince was the reason for his continuing to play football.

Abdul-Ghani said, during an interview with him on the “That” program, presented by former Al-Hilal and National Team player Sami Al-Jaber: “Prince Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Faisal, may God have mercy on him, is the great teacher for me.” Pointing out that when he was promoted to the first team, he was the football supervisor.

He explained: “We participated in the Asian Cup and I was regarding 18 years old at the time. I was a small tyrant, and the Prince gave me a lesson, and so far I say I did not complete football except because of this lesson.”

He continued, “I admit that I made a mistake and the prince punished me for three days, which have been the lions in my life until now.” And he added, “I was young and famous, and I felt that there was nothing else in me, and I made a mistake in a certain thing, and I did not expect the prince to know that at all.”

He added, “The prince sat me for three days, as a precaution, not to train, and he was passing by me without shaking hands with me, and he did not say a word to me, and I did not shake hands with him because I was sad, but he overpowered me.”
