Britney Spears wished her husband Sam Asghari a happy birthday on Saturday.

On her Instagram account, the singer first paid tribute to her spouse. “My husband…I love building a life with you. You are the love of my life,” she said.
The 40-year-old artist decided to conclude his message with a joke that raised eyebrows among several internet users.
“I pray that we don’t kill each other by the end of the year!” wrote Britney Spears.
While some fans questioned the singer’s humor, many defended her, pointing out that following several difficult years, the former queen of pop now seemed to be truly happy.
In a second publication, Britney Spears has also covered her lover with praise.
“He makes me feel beautiful in every way. He’s the nicest and sweetest human I’ve ever met,” said the singer.
“He was with me during my most difficult times, when I had no one else to support me,” she adds.
