“I refused to change seats on the plane so that a mother could sit with her child”

Paying to choose your seat on the plane is the dilemma that occupies all travelers when buying tickets. While many go to the checkout to avoid being separated during the trip, others prefer to save a few euros on their trip. This was the case of a mother who had not bothered to pay the supplement to sit next to her child.

As a result, she found herself a row behind her son. She therefore tried to exchange her place so as not to be distant from it, as told, on Redit, the passenger who received the proposal. “A woman asked me to change seats on a flight from Japan. I was on the window side and her little girl was in the middle next to me while she (the mom, editor’s note) was in the middle seat in the row behind. I refused,” she explains.

She argues: “It’s not my problem, they didn’t book together. The worst part was that we were surrounded by other members of her tour group with whom she could have asked for a trade. The audacity to ask only me…”
