I will do anything for the team without thinking of myself; Harsha Bhogle says Sanju must play for India

Guwahati: Commentator Harsha Bhogle praised Rajasthan’s top scorer Sanju Samson in the IPL match against Punjab Kings. Harsha Bhogle said on Crick Bus’ talk show that the reason to say that Sanju Samson should be included in India’s playing eleven in the T20 team is because of Sanju’s innings yesterday.

We have seen players who get off to a good start and turn it into 70-80 runs and improve their individual performance. But Sanju is not like them. He is never selfish, the team is important to him. He is ready to take any risk for the team. Indian team needs players like him. Because in T20 cricket it is not a big deal if only one player scores 70-80 runs.

If five players in a team play 25 balls each straight like Sanju, that team can easily score 200 runs. If you take the five batsmen who play like that, Sanju has the gold rush there. But while playing in the IPL, Sanju has to be a bit selfish. Because Sanju should at least try to convert starts like the one he got against Punjab yesterday into 70-80 runs.

Sanju Samson knock is a reason why he should regularly feature for India. Players who put themselves first ll try to score 70-80 after a start but Sanju always put team first and keep taking risk. But such innings are rarely seen from Sanju. He always tries to beat him. Harsha Bhogle said that although he cannot be judged as a single game-winning player, India needs such players in T20 cricket.
