‘I will not say sorry’, Uruguay superstar Lui Suarez openly

Doha: Uruguay’s Luis Suarez is the player who ignited many controversies by touching the ball with his hand during the quarter-final match against Ghana in the 2010 World Cup. In the match, Suarez denied Ghana a goal by handballing the ball on the goal line.

The referee then red carded Suarez and awarded a penalty in favor of Ghana. But after the kicking superstar Asamao Gyan made a mistake, Uruguay defeated Ghana in the match and progressed to the semi-finals.

Suarez stated that he does not feel guilty and will not apologize for hitting the ball with his hand. Uruguay is about to face Ghana in the decisive match of Group H in Qatar World Cup. Uruguay-Ghana match on Friday night at 8.30 pm. Suarez announced this during the press conference prior to that.

“I will not apologize for that incident. If I had injured any player and got a red card, I would have apologized. I got a red card after it was a hand ball. It’s not my fault that the Ghanaian missed the penalty. That’s why I won’t apologize’ – said Suarez.

Uruguay is currently in last place in Group H. After completing two matches, Uruguay are yet to win a single game. A draw and a loss are savings.
