As for the groom’s specifications, it was a surprise, as Ghadir revealed exclusively to “Trending” that she had known him since she was 13 years old and said: “We are 13-year-old neighbors with each other, and fate willed that each one of us went with a line, a path and a life. The marriage of Ghadeer Al-Sabti and Ahmed Al-Fardan in March 2018 came as a surprise to the Gulf artistic community, due to Al-Sabti’s retreat from her position rejecting marriage, as she married Al-Fardan 20 years after their first meeting.
The two were classmates at the same university in Kuwait twenty years ago, but Ahmed traveled abroad to complete his education, then decided to return to his country in Bahrain to continue his studies there. They met the year before their marriage during the filming of the series “Amani Al-Omar”, where Ahmed was one of the directors of the work, and Ghadir was one of his actresses, and after days of filming, the relationship developed between them.
In separate statements later, the duo stated that during a joint conversation between them about marriage, Al-Fardan told her that marriage is a failed institution, and he was surprised that she shared his opinion.
After a period of time, he declared his love for her, and this love culminated in marriage, so that they separated quietly before two years had passed since their marriage and before this marriage resulted in children.
