The training body and national teams of the Hand Federation announced the list of the first “Blue” players, who will participate in the Asian qualifiers for the “Paris 2024” Olympics, which will be hosted by the Qatari capital, Doha, from the 18th to the 28th of this month.
The list that Al-Ittihad published through its account on the social networking site (X) included the players Muhammad Al-Sanea, Muhammad Qambar, Muhammad Boyabes, Fawaz Mubarak, Abdul-Rahman Al-Shammari, Saleh Al-Moussawi, Muhammad Al-Hindal, Haider Dashti, Youssef Daif, and Hassan Safar. The list also included Abdulaziz Al-Shammari, Mishal Al-Harbi, Abdullah Al-Khamis, Abdulaziz Salmeen, Fahd Salbukh, and Muhammad. Al-Erian, Ibrahim Al-Amir, Muhammad Ghazanfar, Hussein Al-Kandari, and Mahdi Al-Haddad.
Our national team will play in the “Paris 24” qualifiers in the second group alongside the teams of Iran, Bahrain, Japan and Kazakhstan, while the first group includes the teams of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, the Emirates, India and China.
According to the system, the qualifying champion qualifies directly to the Olympic Games (Paris 2024), while the second and third places get the opportunity to qualify for the Olympic qualifying round.
The “Blue” delegation left last Friday afternoon for Doha, and the team played a trial match yesterday with the Saudi Green.
According to the qualifying schedule, the Blues’ first meeting will be against Iran next Thursday, and they will meet Japan on the 21st and Bahrain the following day, and the preliminary round will conclude with a confrontation with Kazakhstan on the 24th of this month.
It is noteworthy that the Kuwaiti national team performed at remarkable levels in the 19th Asian Games held in China this month, as a result of which it won the bronze medal.
