Icarus’ First Expansion Will Be Released On August 24

Icarus, the multiplayer survival game from Dean Hall, will receive its first expansion payable on August 24. Entitled New Frontiers, it will bring a new map with several biomes, creatures, narrative missions, a hundred objects to craft and so on. In short, the specifications of the survival-craft game are respected. The list of new features is visible this way. Even if it will be necessary to go to the checkout, the studio then promises free and regular updates. The Steam Page for the DLC is already available, and we imagine that the price should be around 8-10€. Of course, you will need to have the original game, of which you can find our test here. So, since then, there may have been progress, but the editorial staff never had the courage to try the experiment once more:

It’s hard to grasp the intent behind Icarus: its story is incoherent, the survival and construction aspect is pointless, its combat is crummy and the exploration tasteless. Visually unimpressive in addition to its forests and weather events, the game also allows itself to come out in a pitiful technical state. In short, it does everything less well than the others: in the same genre, head to The Forest, Valheim and Grounded, or go directly for a short walk in the forest of Fontainebleau, it will be more interesting.
