Seven swimming pools, a mini golf course, an ice rink, around fifteen bars and restaurants, a surf simulator, a “Central Park” district… It’s not a city but a Royal Caribbean liner. The railway company has completed the construction of its crazy project: “Icon of the Seas”.
The 365 m long boat has completed its first trials off the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland. “During her first series of sea trials, Icon of the Seas traveled hundreds of miles, during which the main engines, hull, braking systems, steering, noise and vibration levels were all tested,” the US-Norwegian shipping line said in a statement. A second series of tests should take place by the end of the year, before a first cruise in 2024.

On board, 7,500 passengers and 2,350 crew members should benefit from it next year.
