Ida-Viru County expects a significant increase in heating prices |

Currently, the approved heating prices have exceeded the threshold following which the state begins to partially compensate them, in four districts of Ida-Virumaa, and in several other districts, district heating companies have submitted relevant applications to the Competition Department.

The state compensates 80% of the part of the cost of district heating that exceeds 80 euros per MWh, and this threshold is currently exceeded in Püssi (135.18 euros), Narva-Jõesuu (117.53), Sinimäe (112.42 ) and Alutaguse (105.89), the county newspaper Põhjarannik reported on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Kukruse heating company OSK Grupp has applied for a price increase to 182.45 euros per megawatt hour, in Holgina a price increase to 89.67 euros has been requested and in Sillamäe to 78.38 euros, although the application for Sillamäe was submitted back in July and by now the situation may have further changed. Adven Eesti also requested a new price increase in Püssi to 146.88 euros and in Narva-Jõesuu to 127.51 euros per MWh. All of these applications have not yet been approved by the Competition Department.
