Structure of the 2026 Election Turnout Incentives
Management of the incentive initiative rests entirely with the IEEE Tellers Committee. The committee retains full authority over all rules, operations, and final decisions regarding the program. Payouts will occur only after election results are officially accepted by the IEEE Board of Directors.
Sections competing for the cash prizes are categorized by the size of their eligible voting base:
- Large Sections: Comprise more than 1,501 eligible voting members. The top-performing large section in each IEEE region secures a US $1,000 reward.
- Medium Sections: Consist of 501 to 1,500 eligible voting members. The top-performing medium section in each region receives $600.
- Small Sections: Encompass 500 or fewer eligible voting members. The top-performing small section in each region is awarded $400.
Turnout metrics are calculated directly from the total count of eligible voters within each designated Section, ensuring a level percentage-based playing field regardless of absolute membership volume.
Participating and Casting Ballots
Members seeking to push their local chapters toward regional victory can access candidate profiles and cast their ballots directly through the IEEE annual election website. Detailed specifications on the incentive guidelines are hosted alongside the main voting portal.
